The hotel was built in 1960 by the Bernardino brothers and Vincenzo Pironti, and was then completely renovated by Bernardino's daughter, Michela Pironti, who still runs it today.
The hotel owes its name to the splendid cliff below along which the tourist port of Marina di Camerota has developed over time, where the intense life of the fishing village takes place.
